CHACA organized our first kickoff event - Memory Lane, in June 2025. This event marked a powerful and inspiring kickoff to our creative arts journey, welcoming nearly 150 participants and audience members to celebrate art, storytelling, community connection, and to explore self-identity through memories. As our inaugural event, it set the tone for meaningful cultural exchange through visual art installations, theatre performances, and interactive workshops that brought together diverse voices and experiences. Thanks to the overwhelming encouragement and strong community support, we were especially proud to add an additional early July performance of our original Cantonese play, “The Clowns”, to meet audience demand. We are sincerely grateful for the support of The City of Calgary through its Microgrant program, as well as the generous sponsorship from Silverhill Acura. Their support was instrumental in launching this initiative and making our kickoff event both impactful and accessible to the community.
