Michelle Hung

My name is Michelle Hung, and I am delighted to become a member of the Calgary Hong Kong Arts & Culture Association.

I moved to Calgary with my family during my primary school years. My academic journey led me to pursue fine arts, where I graduated as an honors student. Although I have fully embraced Canadian culture and built my career here, my deep connection to Hong Kong remains unwavering.

Recognizing the challenges many Hong Kong immigrants face, I have actively contributed to community initiatives aimed at easing their transition. I established an SEN support platform to assist parents in navigating special educational needs and have collaborated with professionals to provide online workshops, equipping new immigrants with essential knowledge. Additionally, through my role in my church’s outreach department, I support newly arrived Hong Kong families by helping them settle into their new environment.

Through CHACA, my goal is to create a welcoming and supportive community where Hong Kong families and individuals can thrive in Calgary while embracing its rich artistic and cultural landscape.
